Vibra was run in cooperation with Dance Theatre Ljubljana. The artistic director of Vibra was Magdalena Reiter.
Vibra arose from the need to create a platform for the meeting between young dancers of different dance genres and other lovers of dance. Right from the start it became a popular event in Slovenia’s capital, gathers young dancers. Every year the program was upgraded and expanded, putting focus on training, creation and theory. In the last two editions of the festival training scholarships were given to young dancers from around the world.
Due to covid-19 pandemics in 2020 the festival was held online. One of the projects realised during the online edition was a dance movie Walls, directed by the renowned Slovenian film director, Janez Burger. Since 2020 Vibra has been put on hold.
